Party Quiz Up! is an online party buzzer for iOS and Android. No account registration is required. It is free for parties of up to 10 players, with no advertising or in-app purchases in this version.

Information used to run your party

Our server receives the party title, questions entered by the host, player nicknames, a generated player identifier and session token, buzzer timing, scores and round history. This information is used to connect participants, determine the first valid buzzer, score rounds and restore a session. Use a nickname and avoid entering sensitive or identifying information in questions or party names.

Players and hosts in the same party can see names, questions, scores and results. A person with a party code can join or view its audience screen. Share codes only with your intended group.

Device information and camera

Language preferences and session access credentials are stored on your device. iOS uses Keychain for credentials; Android uses encrypted storage backed by Android Keystore. The optional QR scanner uses the camera to read an invitation code. We do not upload camera images or video to our server. Android scanning uses Google Play services and ML Kit. When you choose QR scanning, this SDK collects device and app information, device or installation identifiers, performance metrics and feature events for diagnostics and usage analytics over HTTPS. It does not send camera images or scan results to our server. You can join by typing the code without using the scanner.

Network providers, sharing and tracking

Network connections expose technical information such as your IP address to our hosting and security providers, including Cloudflare. We use encrypted HTTPS and WSS for the public service. We do not sell personal information, use advertising identifiers, or use data for cross-app advertising tracking. Information is processed for service delivery, security and support, not advertising.

Retention and deletion

Inactive parties expire after at least 24 hours without game activity once no participant remains connected. Expired parties are no longer available in the service. A saved copy can remain until server storage is updated; this version does not promise automatic physical deletion at exactly 24 hours. To request deletion of your party records, contact us with the party code and approximate date, without sending session tokens. You can remove local app data by clearing app storage; on iOS, deleting the app may not remove credentials already stored in Keychain.

For access, correction or deletion requests, email [email protected]. If you contact support, we process the information you voluntarily send to handle your request. The app is intended for general audiences aged 13 and older; it is not specifically directed to children under 13. We will update this page if our practices change.
